Welcome to our school website - we are so pleased you're here to find out more about our wonderful school.

At Holmer Green First School and Pre-School, we believe every child deserves the very best start to their learning journey. Our school is a place where curiosity is encouraged, kindness is celebrated, and everyone is valued for who they are. We are proud to provide a warm, inclusive environment where children feel safe, happy and excited to come to school each day.

We are a unique school as we have a strong belief in the power of learning through play. Children learn through continuous provision across our whole school. This is at the heart of how we support children to become confident, independent learners. Through purposeful play, exploration, and carefully planned learning environments, our pupils develop a deep love of learning and the skills they need to thrive - both now and in the future.

We set high expectations for all children and are committed to helping each one achieve their very best - academically, socially and emotionally. Our creative and engaging curriculum is designed to spark curiosity, build resilience, and promote a life-long love of learning.

A very special part of our school is NED the dragon. NED reminds us to Never give up, Encourage others and Do our best - values that shine through everything we do. You will see NED around the school, encouraging children to believe in themselves and try their hardest in all they do.

We also believe strongly in working together with our families, local community and wider partnerships. We are proud to deliver wonderful experiences for our community, take part in community events, and regularly support local charities and good causes. Through these opportunities, our children learn the importance of compassion, citizenship, and making a positive difference in the world around them.
